We will meet at the east parking lot of the Athletic Club of Bend.(61615 Athletic club drive Bend Oregon). Please arrive at 8:30 for a safety meeting for departure at 9:00 am with a full tank of gas. This is approximately a 3 hour drive

Cars put a smile of children when they get a toy car and push it on the floor, envisioning themselves as adults one day. We collect them, admire them, dream of them: this is the Cars & Coffee community, where we share our cars.

We will meet at the east parking lot of the Athletic club of Bend (61615 Athletic Club Dr). Bend Oregon. Please arrive at 8:30 for a safety meeting and a departure time of 9:00 am. This is approximately a 3 hour drive.

Help HDR to kick off a successful 2024.  Meet your officers, get a preview of activities that are on tap for the new year and hook up again with members you haven’t seen for awhile.
Chilled water will be available at the Club, bring your choice of other beverages.
Dinner will be buffet style
Feel free to join us for the meeting even if you do not want dinner.

The HDRPCA John Day Fossil Beds Tour is an all-day drive through rural Central Oregon landscapes, generally following the John Day Wild and Scenic River and John Day Fossil Beds National Monument. The 263-mile tour begins in Redmond and ends in Prineville, traveling through Madras, Antelope, Fossil, Twickenham, Spray, Kimberly, and Mitchell. From Antelope to near Mitchell the drive follows the "Journey Through Time Scenic Byway". In late June the normally arid landscape will be green and lush, with the river flowing full. The drive includes lunch in Fossil, a tour of the Thomas Condon Paleontology Center near Kimberly, and a group dinner at Club Pioneer in Prineville. The registration fee is $70 per person which includes the lunch, dinner, and incidental tour expenses.

The Cowboy Dinner Tree event returns for those who all love pioneer folklore. We will rally to Christmas Valley where the pioneers settled and lived on the land and raised cattle. We will visit the museum buildings that was actually a working town, and then enjoy a taste of the cowboys favorite meal at the rustic old cookhouse, turned into a locally famous dining spot. This dinner is rated 5 Stars!

Drives are two to three hours in length and are intended to explore the great Central Oregon roads that Porsche cars thrive on. We start the CCG drives at locations at 9:00 am away from Bend to avoid the traffic congestion and keep everyone together. For instance when we drive McKenzie Pass we start in Sisters. We start our Lower Bridge drive at Eagle Crest, etc. This eliminated the problem easily and effectively.

Founded in 1811, Astoria, Oregon is at the most upper northwest tip of the state, where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean and, it is the oldest American Settlement west of the Rocky Mountains.

According to my personal references, August is the best time of year to be in Astoria. Bring great walking shoes, hats and binoculars. We should have convertible weather for sure.......however, bring a light sweater just in case! :.)
