Our day begins by rallying at the Starbucks in Cascade Shopping Center in Bend. We then drive up the scenic Cascade Lakes Highway to Elk Lake. There we will drop off our picnic and/or barbecue supplies at our private dock "Lakeside Lanai" (maximum capacity 25). At 10:00 the leisurely boat ride takes us on our rented 22 ft Sportfish DLX Pontoon boat cruising the lake for 3 hours while enjoying music, beverages, and appetizers. (the boat ride is optional with a maximum capacity of 10). We then return to our Lanai and start up the bar-b-q for our lunch (bring your own) on the lake. Meanwhile, optional activities will be 'on your own', ie: Kayaking, canoeing, swimming, and stand up paddleboards. All are available to rent on your own.. At 6:00 p.m. the lakeside concert with the renowned The Sleepless Truckers band begins. This Country Western band is well known in Central Oregon and you will definitely love dancing to this band in the moonlight! As well as Elk Lake's Marina Restaurant and Ice Cream stand, there are many places to explore. In the event you decide to spend the night in one of their cabins, please call the Lake Resort for your reservation separately from the clubs event. After the band, we will return home, all happy for the day in the sun and on the boat at Elk Lake with the Sleepless Truckers and our friends in the High Desert Region Porsche Club of America!. Yah!
